"Mayan Warrior once again blew minds at Burning Man. Big sound, big lasers. I got to plug in my USB’s on Monday night and had a great time. Set link in bio. People take it almost for granted but it’s such a technical and logistical challenge to run an artcar in the desert. Festival grade tech - generators, PA, lighting etc - has to fit inside a tiny bus and kept running for a week. Overheating is the main danger, mechanical wear and tear due to dust and vibration is substantial. Generators need constant refueling. Easier said than done when the fuel truck does not show up due to sandstorms. Then you need a bunch of security to keep people from being run over or falling off the artcar. The chaos these crews have to manage is substantial.
