"Burning Man is happenning again after 3 years, and the Mayan Warrior is blowing it’s 10th candle... oh boy, playing this closing set was kind of a responsibilty, right? As a Dj I believe that if there is one set in the year that you shall prepare it’s for sure this one… and God knows I did; playlisting my most special and sophisticated music for hours during the summer. But once I was out there in dust, flowing with the energy of my fellow burners that went all the way to this very last moment, surrounded by the warriors amongst the warriors, well… I must say I didn’t really followed the plan. The word of Ricardo Villalobos that I sampled in the first track I played resonated the whole set in my mind « in the party everyone is just like a kid, innocent, not serious, not responsible » and here comes the disco, baby! if I had to describe a Burning Man early morning to a blind person I would simply play him Time by Pachanga Boys. It might be the only track from my original playlist that made it to the actual set... 10 years after it’s release I couldn’t think of anything more appropriate to close this very special week. I still get goosebumps when I remember that magic morning and I’m forever grateful to every soul who made that moment possible. Love you so much!!!
