"It’s 2022. We are back on playa after the pandemic break. With us, Mayan Warrior in its natural habitat. We ride out in the middle of a dust storm, along with my chosen 100 tracks. The selection is inspired by what Mayan Warrior means to me. It represents the fusion between contemporary art and tradition. Crazy lasers over the handcrafted god’s eye. Unmatched sound coming from a millenary Mayan figure. A representation of what makes Mexico such a special place. It’s a mix of old tracks I love and unreleased music from some of my favorite artists. A lot of it from Mexican artists and labels. As I am about to start, I see dozens of bikes powering through the storm. I trash my original plan on song 2 as I try to capture the moment. Eventually, a beautiful sunset emerges.
