Burning Man 2023 for Opulent Chill [September 2023]

Description

I was given the honor of playing for @opulentchillmusic at 5pm on burn night (Saturday) at this year's Burning Man. I contemplated leaving the event when driving a friend to Reno on the Thursday before but had spent more than a month collecting and cultivating some music and returned to BRC beyond excited to play... until the weather took a turn for the worst and forced me to miss my set while sheltering in place (you may have seen the news). A friend and I spent more than eight hours exiting the city (the time it took to reach actual road/pavement) yesterday, and I'm beyond grateful to be home. I wanted to record a mix while my feelings about the past few days and our shared experiences (trauma bonding?) were still fresh. I hope you enjoy! Thank you so much to Opulent Chill for the opportunity to play and to the amazing friends who took me in when it was clear that my tent situation was not going to work with the incoming weather.
