I fell in love with The Mystical Deer from the first sight, and since then, I’ve been lucky and honored to share music from it many times. However, playing the opening set on Monday night for the second year in a row has a special feeling all its own. There’s this sense of anticipation—for the whole week to unfold—and yet, we’re all there, fully present, ready to warm up, dance, and share these moments and sounds together. This beautiful Monday night semi-tradition brought together so many friends from my camp, Treble Makers, and beyond. Seeing so many familiar faces was, for me, the ultimate joy. In the spirit of ITAI & Friends jams, it was an honor and a pleasure to host the incredibly talented Monster Luna, whose mesmerizing voice and musicality added so much to this special moment.
