When reminiscing of our Maxa debut on Thursday morning, we remember the cool, cloud-covered morning and the slight prickle of our nerves as we prepared to hop onto the decks. As we played, the nerves wore off—as did the clouds, and we were plunged suddenly into what seemed like the first fully hot and bright day of the Burn—and we were delighted to see many familiar faces riding through the dust and climbing onto the car around us. To play on an art car such as Maxa is a gift, and we hope our musical offering gave everyone a boost of energy in return, for that moment or beyond—whether it was the last dance of the morning or just the beginning of the day’s adventures. We hope the energy transfers into the default world, too.
