Halcón @ Sumanah Camp - Burning Man 2025

I hadn’t DJ formally since 2019, and in my first Burning Man experience, I offered my camp, Sumanah, a set as an offering — to enter the weekend united, open, and free. The set was curated with deep intention and purpose, to share a true journey that reflected my evolution as a human on my own path since 2019. Each track carried a message for those who were fully present and in communion with the music. I surrendered to the art of crafting a musical journey. I loved the path, the process, and the people. I dreamed again. I cried. I envisioned myself playing at PlayAlchemist and Mayan Warrior. I fell back in love with what sets my soul on fire. I gave my gift — and more importantly, I gave myself to the gift. PS: The Pioneer XDJ-RX2 console of the camp was operating at barely 15–20% of its capacity due to the storm damage at Burning Man. Basic buttons like play and cue didn’t work — I had to rely on hot cues. Tracks would start in auto-play. The beat grid was misaligned and glitched erratically. None of the FX worked properly. The recording has some audio flaws… and some of my own mistakes, caused by a console I couldn’t fully master. Enjoy!
