"Playing at Mayan Warrior was such a huge honor for us - we still can’t quite believe that this was the first set we ever played at Burning Man! To see the impressive, multi-media art car with all its lights and glory waiting for us was intimidating, to say the least. When we arrived to play our set, it started moving into the Deep Playa, with us and our little group of friends following behind it on our bikes. The art car moved slowly, playing its ritualistic music and summoning its followers from the darkness as it set off into the desert. We were at the front of the procession, and every time we looked back, the sea of lights & bikes got bigger and bigger while our hearts started beating faster and faster. People on bikes started appearing one by one from all corners of the Playa, following the fire and lasers until the art car finally stopped and we climbed on top. We will never forget what it felt like to play our music there….ours was the first set of the night, and we tried to capture the Warrior feeling in our own musical language. The tracks we played reflect the powerful vibe we felt looking down onto the crowd, with the bass booming underneath our feet and the lasers and flames lighting up all around us. Some of them are dark, some of them melancholic - and all of them are close to our hearts.
