Deep Tribal House Journey //* in the Burning Man Multiverse 2020

Recorded Live for the "Harmonizing Humanity" Camp in the Burning Man Multi-Verse Story Time: in 2016, I took a greyhound to LA to barter for a Burning Man ticket, and then spent my last 100 dollars on a ride from there to Black Rock City. During my last night there, after the temple burn, I got called to go to the very left corner (a place I hadn’t yet explored) to see what was waiting for me. Nothing impressive. And yet something kept me there a little longer. Suddenly, out of the corner of my eye - i recognized a glowing heart in the very distance... where I ended up pulling up to the beloved Robot Heart stage... tucked away in the corner of the playa, with no more then 30 or so other lucky wanderers who had discovered it with me. And i danced there, all night; being carried deeper and deeper into my body, into the earth, into my soul as each hour passed in the cold, timeless desert - bringing the sun up. And overtime, the slow, minimalistic Deep House that was already so dear to me ~ began to resound some Hindu Mantras and Ethnic vocal samples... It was ephemeral and foreign, yet familiar and right. And I knew I had struck gold. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever find anything like it outside of this space... but have since then been digging deep into this genre of tribal / ethnic / organic house... And found home there. 4 years later, after spinning mostly this kind of music - i’m excited to share a little recording of some fresh favorites for my first set at Burning Man: playing for the Harmonizing Humanity camp on the Online Burner Multi-Verse.
